Review by hotel critic
The Ritter hotel provided a serene escape in the heart of Seligenstadt, a quaint town brimming with charm. Amidst my gourmet getaway, the culinary delights at Gruber, mere steps away, were a highlight. The morning started with a bountiful hot and cold buffet breakfast at the cozy hotel restaurant, reminiscent of a cherished Berlin cafe. The spread at Gruber rivaled some of the city's finest establishments, a testament to the chef's dedication to quality and variety. At Ritter, every meal felt like a cultural exploration, much like wandering through Berlin's eclectic neighborhoods. Indulging in sumptuous dishes at the hotel's restaurant, I found myself transported through flavors and aromas reminiscent of historical German cuisines with a modern twist. The experience was akin to stumbling upon a hidden gem in Berlin's labyrinthine streets. While Seligenstadt may lack the bustling energy of Berlin, its culinary scene, radiating from Gruber, offers a delightful fusion of tradition and innovation. The proximity to local eateries like Ristorante Pizzeria 1744 enhanced my culinary journey, revealing how Ritter seamlessly integrates into the town's gastronomic tapestry. Seligenstadt's flavors may be understated compared to Berlin's bustling food scene, but the hotel's commitment to culinary excellence left a lasting impression, appealing to my German sensibilities and passion for culinary exploration.
